a day in the life of a kid
sometimes i wish i could be a kid again. "adulting" isn't fun all the time. the endless laundry and having to make dinner at 10:30 pm makes me extremely thankful for my parents. and we don't even have kids?! how can two humans produce SO much laundry? being a kid with no serious responsibilities makes me slightly envious.
but "adulting" can be fun too. i like to pick up my cousins and do activities with them because they are just hilarious. they have the power to make your day in any given circumstance....like this day last week. i wanted to take them to get shamrock shakes for st patricks day. we wait in a long drive through line (assuming everyone else wanted these sought after shakes) just to find out their shake machine is broke. UGH WHY. we got ice cream instead.
as i am handing the cones to the boys, my hand decides to go hulk on me and crush it as i'm handing one to alex. our faces drop..."uhhh" i look over to see the cashier LAUGHING his head off and proceeds to give us a new one. (thank you kind soul) we proceed to go to a shaded spot to enjoy our cones. then all of a sudden alex starts cracking up...we were so confused as to what was going on. he then points at an empty cigarette box and laughs because it's called "camel"...? it started to make us laugh because of how ridiculous it was.
then his ice cream dropped haha. of course it does. eric and i just started laughing again because his face was so sad and the "drop" made a funny sound. it was like a classic movie. we were all laughing hysterically by this point and had no idea why. these kids bring so much laughter into any normal day and i love it.
