first watercolor class...
a couple weeks ago i kicked off the holiday season by hosting my first watercolor class! i was so nervous to actually do it even though it had been in my mind for a while now. but it was so fun! we had such a wonderful group of girls who came to my house to paint watercolor christmas wreaths. i LOVE seeing their instagram posts or stories with their little wreath framed and displayed in their home
we started out by introducing each other and munching on some treats. (donuts are always worth it). after, i had them just get a feel for the paint and water. i provided different brushes, a christmas color palette of different greens, browns and reds, then of course practice paper before we started the final 8 x 10 painting. once we felt good with our colors, we practiced different leaves. then...(dun dun DUN) we started the project. the wreaths turned out AMAZING. i set up a small packaging station where they could keep their projects safe until they got home. i felt so blessed to get to teach what i love to do and enjoy time with new and old friends.
