son of a nutcracker!

son of a nutcracker!

every year we both have finals on my birthday. this year i had class from 7-10 PM on my birthday! so instead we celebrated the day after and this one was a hard one to beat. like i've said in previous posts, aaron is the master, the king and the wizard (yes he can be all three of those) of surprises. i was beyond surprised! it all started around 2 when i got off of work. i came home to three different different classy dresses laid out on our bed, complete with shoes and two necklaces to choose from. above the dresses was a note that read, "happy birthday to my beautiful bride, pick out one dress and one piece of jewelry and be ready by 5!"

*died and came back to life*

i try on all the dresses and picked my favorite. i picked the one on the far right which had an adorable scalloped trim around the waist. now unfortunately, i still had one last class so i get all dressed up and go in, sign the roll, stay for 5 minutes and leave. (aaron was still mad because i was 5 minutes late...oops hehe). once we get in the car we start driving downtown to our FAVORITE french restaurant, gourmandise. we thought we wouldn't be able to go because it was going to be busy but to our surprise it wasn't at all! plus we got the best seat in the house. our waiter was on top of things and we got our food so fast. as we were eating and i was begging aaron to tell me what we were going to do, he started humming a song from the nutcracker and i literally started crying. i was SO excited to see the nutcracker put on by ballet west! we picked out our favorite pastries and got them to go...then off to the next surprise.

back it up a bit. on the way to gourmandise, we passed the capitol theatre downtown and i stared out the window and was like, "aaron! look at that gorgeous building!" he just laughed...unbeknownst to me...that's where we were going to see the ballet!

i lucked out with this amazing hunksicle. i’m so happy i get to make such wonderful memories with the one i love the most!
