what the heck are tiger ears?
this past weekend my grandma bought us all tickets to see the demolition derby, a tradition that's been in us country folk for years. *said in your best cowboy accent* i was super excited because aaron had never been or seen a demolition derby before let alone a little small town fair.
each time i go to blackfoot idaho i LOVE visiting Rupes, the cutest little diner in town. i love the feel there! it's homey and just down right adorable. they are really famous for their root beer ice cream (which i basically inhaled before i could get a picture! ah!) but their food is SO good too! it brings back memories of when i stayed the summer in blackfoot with family when i was young. i remember thinking it was so cool that we were able to feed 6 people under 20 bucks haha. so i included some pictures from this day, which was also the day that byu was defeated...hence the Y shirt. it was a sad day.
ok so the eastern idaho state fair is in blackfoot idaho...the smallest town ever! as we were driving to it aaron was like "why is the fair in blackfoot!?" haha honestly i have no clue! but that's what makes it so special! as a family really go for 2 things, the tiger ears and demolition derby. i included a video of some shots at the fair (totally still learning with this video thing) the tiger ears are just deep fried goodness cover coated in cinnamon and sugar. we waiting in line for AN HOUR people!! was it worth it? oh ya. sugary sticky fingers as we watch beat up cars smashing into each other. I LOVE IT. it was a great time to spend time with family and show aaron a new side of me haha :') enjoy!
