excuse me as i try to speak my mind! my words are not eloquent, but i wanted to share my thoughts on what i think about creative confidence. being able to create something beautiful is my passion. i love creating! whether it be vignettes for my mom's parties or a stylized flatlay for work, i am always creating. i find it to be a challenge that i want to excel at. i love going home because my parent's house is FULL of props and decor. for this shoot i wanted to make it a little bit more stylized so i found a basket and looked in the fridge for a cute drink and fruit.
am i confident in my creativity? no. do i pretend i am? yes! haha. i get comments from people saying i focus too much on how my feed looks or that my pictures all have to look perfect and i portray a fake life. i see it as an art. laugh at me! i love it!
we often fall into the trap of comparing. "i am not creative, i don't have a cohesive feed" "i am not creative, i don't have a nice camera" "i am not creative, i never leave my house" there are other ways of being creative people!
use your creativity to problem solve. my boss is SO good at this. when a problem arises, she comes up with a solution quickly. this is something i am not as great at but a skill that is good to have and i am trying to learn. another way to use creativity is being innovative. are you a parent? do you have to come up with new ways of teaching your children? are you a student and have to find ways to manage your time?
i encourage anyone reading this to find something that inspires you to create. find a way that you personally express your creative side! let me know your thoughts in the comments below :)
