styling your basics
ok i love piecing outfits together, i actually think it's quite fun. i remember being in high school when my sister always wanted me to pick out her outfits from head to toe and lay them out for her. she wanted me to do it so often that i actually started charging her $1 per outfit haha, i made bank! now being married i am all dressed and ready when i hear, "...kat? can you pick out my outfit please???" i have flashbacks every time to when elise would ask me the same question.
being a newlywed in a tiny apartment, my closet space is now being shared with ties, suits, men's jackets, joggers, basketball shoes and tons of socks! (sometimes i think aaron has more clothes than me!) i quickly learned that my new challenge will be to create new outfits with the same stuff. challenge accepted. now this outfit it super basic but its something everyone can put together. a sweater, black pants, boots and a hat. the best part is that you can put on any color sweater and it will look great. change it up with different colored socks or beanies. these pants were some old black ones i had. my idea to change up my wardrobe without buying new pants was to simply cut them at the knees. (i may or may not be regretting my decision now that it's winter) this gave me a new pair of pants.
